Back in the late 60s - early 70's my family would travel on vacation. To save a few bucks, we carried a hue water bottle, to which we would add Kool-Aide. This is where mixing flavors to create our own first started, CHAPPLE (Cherry apple) first came to light. There may have been frozen apple juice as well. This pie and a few to follow give tribute to those memories and to my mom who was never afraid to try new things. Thanks Mom!
