0094. Dutch Cherry Apple Pie
Here is a cherry pie with an apple overtone. Fruit Pies can all be stand alone based on one fruit, but what a difference is made with an additional fruit. Adding apples to cherries gives us a complex taste bud pattern, one of two kinds of sweetness, a bit of tartness, perhaps a hint of both acidity and sour. The crumb crust adds interest and a spark of flavor. All this in a about 500 micro-liters of outstanding flvor -- HINT, SPLASH, or BURST.
